Bruce Brotzman, Owner
Originally from the Midwest, Bruce, his wife Ellen, and their kids, moved to the Research Triangle Region of NC almost 20 years ago and have been residents of Carteret County for the past 10 years. Bruce established Blue Green Construction (named for the blue-green waters of the Crystal Coast) in 2013, and he has worked hard to assemble a team of top-notch workers and outstanding subcontractors focused on serving our community well. Bruce is passionate about producing high-quality built spaces that delight homeowners. At the same time, he’s committed to providing a work environment that is respectful of workers and mutually beneficial toward them.
Peter Brotzman, Project Manager
Peter moved from Wisconsin to Morehead City in 2019 with his family to partner with his uncle and help run his growing construction company. The great weather, natural beauty and endless opportunity for outdoor recreation was also a big motivation for the move to the Crystal Coast. Peter is a second generation carpenter and brings over two decades of residential and commercial building experience
David Sellek, Project Manager
After operating my own general contracting company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for more than 35 years, my wife and I relocated to North Carolina's Crystal Coast in 2025. Throughout my career, I have specialized in high-end custom homes, major renovations, and historically accurate restorations that preserve a home's original character and architectural style. As I transition into the next phase of my career, I have also served as an adjunct professor, teaching construction and sharing the knowledge and craftsmanship I've gained over decades in the field. My passion is helping both the next generation of builders and homeowners make informed decisions with confidence, ensuring every project is built on a foundation of quality, trust, and education.
Eric Morris, Project Manager
Eric has spent his career solving complex problems, bringing over a decade of experience across supply chain, operations, and construction to everything he does. He's known for a detail-oriented, steady approach that keeps projects organized and people at ease. A Morehead City resident, Eric is deeply rooted in the coastal community he serves. His faith is central to who he is, shaping how he shows up for clients and colleagues alike. Outside of work, he's a devoted husband and father who values family, integrity, and building things that last.
Debbie Walters, Office Manager
I moved here from sunny California after spending 20 years as an office manager in the oilfield industry. I’m really enjoying the slower pace of life here, and the beautiful blue waters of the Crystal Coast have been a highlight. It’s been a refreshing change of pace and a great place to call home. I love watercolor painting and quilting, which gives me a chance to slow down and be creative. When I can, you may find me fishing with my dog and enjoying the outdoors
